I love playing with colour, and this red tree on a sky of blue and warm metallic gold  really captivates the viewer.

The iridescent warm gold is painted over a rich flat deep blue sky. This makes the gold shine a warmth that reminds me of the evening light as the autumn sun goes down. Unfortunately the full effect is hard to capture on the photos.

Acrylic on linen in a black floating frame, it is strung and ready to hang.
